Gatesville Police Department is committed to building trust within our community by upholding the highest standards of honor, integrity, respect, and accountability through fair, compassionate, service and a steadfast dedication to public safety, we strive to protect and partner with the citizens of Gatesville. 
With community as our focus, we are committed to investigating problems as well as incidents, seeking solutions and fostering a sense of security for our citizens and our community. We hold ourselves accountable to the highest standards of performance, ethics, and character thus earning public trust.
To fulfill our mission, the Gatesville Police Department is dedicated to providing a positive work environment and to the professional development of its members through quality training and participative leadership. Our goal is to enhance the quality of life in Gatesville through the accomplishment of our mission.

The Gatesville Police Department is proud to serve the citizens, businesses, and visitors of Gatesville. As the county seat of Coryell County and a neighboring community to Fort Hood, our department is committed to protecting and serving with dignity, fairness, and respect.

The department employs 32 full-time staff members across Patrol, Investigations, and Administration, with a continued focus on professional service, public safety, and community policing.
