Current TCOLE Licensed Peace Officer $6,000 Hiring/Sign-On Bonus
The Gatesville Police Department is now offering a sign-on bonus of $6000.00 for current State of Texas Licensed Peace Officer. The following applies:
- You must be currently licensed as a peace officer in the State of Texas.
- Upon completion of Field Training, you will receive $3000.00.
- On your 1st anniversary, you will receive an additional $3000.00.
- If you leave before 2 years, the bonus must be repaid.
Starting salary: $59,295.00 annually.
The Gatesville Police Department does hire both non-licensed and licensed peace officers.
State of Texas Licensed Lateral Transfer Hiring
Applicants currently licensed by the State of Texas are encouraged to apply for lateral transfer opportunities with the Gatesville Police Department.
Non-licensed applicants
Upon successful completion of the hiring process will be paid full time employees and sponsored by the department to attend a Basic Peace Officer Academy.
- During the academy the police cadet will be paid an annual salary of $47,065.00.
- Upon completion of the academy the salary will then be $59,295.60 a year.
