The Water Distribution Department:

Water Distribution for the City of Gatesville is responsible for delivering safe, reliable drinking water to homes, businesses, schools, and public facilities throughout the community. The department maintains and repairs the city’s water mains, service lines, fire hydrants, and valves to ensure consistent water pressure and flow. Crews respond to water main breaks, leaks, and service interruptions to minimize downtime and protect property. They also monitor water quality within the distribution system to help ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. In addition, Water Distribution supports new development by installing and connecting infrastructure for residential and commercial growth. Through routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and emergency response, the department helps safeguard public health and maintain essential city services
