Water, Sewer & Garbage Service
To start water, sewer, and garbage services with the City of Gatesville, please submit the required information listed below in person or by email to the Utility Billing Department.

- Copy of your Lease or Purchase Agreement (must show occupants/owners and property address)

Fees & Deposits
- $50.00 Water Deposit
- $50.00 Sewer Deposit
- $50.00 Garbage Deposit
- $22.00 Turn-On Fee (non-refundable)
Deposits may be waived with a 12-month letter of credit.
Payment Options
Deposits can be paid over the phone for Residential or Commercial accounts, or you may bring the documents and payment in person to City Hall.
Service Activation
Once all required items are received, your account will be set up. Services can be turned on the same day as long as payment is received by 4:00 PM.

Trash Pickup
Trash pickup within the City limits is provided by Waste Management.
By processing your payment, you agree that the City of Gatesville or its agents, representatives, or attorneys may use any phone numbers, wireless devices, or email addresses you have submitted to contact you by direct or automated dialing equipment with live or pre-recorded messages for collection purposes.

Collection Guidelines
- Each household receives a 96-gallon trash cart and a 96-gallon recycling cart with a yellow lid.
- Place carts at the curb the night before or by 7:00 AM on pickup day.
- Bag all trash before placing it in the cart.
- Do not bag recyclables — place them loose in the recycling cart.
- Leave 3 feet of space between carts and obstacles.
- No additional waste outside the cart will be collected.

♻️ Recycling is collected on your trash day every other week. On recycling weeks, place both carts at the curb.
Bulk & Brush Guidelines
- Maximum of 4 cubic yards per month.
- Bundles must be under 40 lbs.
- Branches must be less than 3 inches in diameter.
- Cut brush into 3-foot bundles.
- Leaves and clippings must be bagged.
