Municipal Court
Mission
To provide a neutral, courteous, and fair forum for all Class C misdemeanor offenses arising under Texas civil and criminal statutes and city ordinances and providing for the efficient and timely adjudication of court cases.
This Court and its officers are dedicated to the principles of impartiality, fairness, integrity, separation of powers, and judicial independence and is committed in its role as the Judicial Branch of local government.
Judicial complaints may be filed with the State Commission on Judicial Conduct.
Appearances
A phone call does not constitute as an appearance. You will need to appear in person or by mail. You have 10 days to make an appearance before the court regarding the charge(s) filed against you.
Please note: The court/appearance date is on your citation.
Trial
If you wish to enter a plea of not guilty and desire a trial, you may do so in person or by mail, on or before your 10 day appearance date. You may request a trial by judge or jury, and you will be notified by the court when you must appear for pre-trial and any other required procedures.

If you want to request Deferred Disposition, you may do so in our online payment center. Please note that not all violations are eligible to apply for a deferred disposition online. If you have a violation that is not eligible for an online deferred disposition, please contact the court for more information.
