Communications Officer
The Gatesville Police Department has one immediate opening for a full-time Communications Officer. Qualified candidates should be 18 years of age or older, possess a High School Diploma or GED, and be willing to work all shifts, to include nights, weekends, and holidays. Potential candidates will also be required to undergo a psychological evaluation, and drug screen.
Responsibilities include answering 911 and administrative phones, gathering call information and dispatching the appropriate responders, entering and retrieving information in department computers, and maintaining contact with field officers. Experience in the Communications field is preferred, but not required.
Starting pay is $19.50 per hour / $40,560 per year, and we offer paid training for licensure as a communications officer. This position is open until filled.
