Educate Your Children About Gun Safety!
It is a violation of the law to leave a gun accessible to children!

Tell your children if they see a gun:

Do not touch it! Leave it alone!
All guns are to be considered loaded!
If you have a gun in your home:

• Keep it in a locked container with a gun lock on the trigger or action. The Gatesville Police Department has free gun locks available for residents. Come to the police station at 200 N. 8th Street and ask the dispatcher for your free gun safety lock.
• Keep ammunition stored in a separate place.
• Guns are not toys! A gun improperly handled can cause death or serious bodily injury.
• BB guns and pellet guns can be just as dangerous as any regular firearm when handled improperly.
